Andy de Emmony

Andy has directed television series including Spitting Image, Red Dwarf and Father Ted.

He was BAFTA nominated for the first series of Cutting It and The Wife Of Bath, one of two Canterbury Tales he directed, and again for Fantabulosa! starring Michael Sheen and based on the Kenneth Williams Diaries.  He also directed Recovery (starring David Tenant and Sarah Parish); Filth, The Mary Whitehouse Story, starring Julie Walters; and God on Trial which was set in Auschwitz and starred Anthony Sher and Stellan Skarsgard.

Recently he completed The Wipers Times starring Michael Palin and Moonfleet with Ray Winstone.

His feature films include Love Bite! and West Is West.

There’s a strong puppet theme in Andy’s commercial work; he’s worked with characters from the Honey Monster to Kermit the Frog and currently directs the Dolmio Italian family.
